    is that possible press a key run a application?

    is that possible press a key run a application?
    example: press a 1234 button then press the call key or any key then run the application?
    the application can be written by JAVA or ?

    As per my opinion it is not posssible, and I have not seen anywhere any application which can trigger by numeric code.

    or use the method capture key press outside the application?
    no necessary need to pressing a numberic code.what i mean is just press a long key 1 then automatically run the application.
    additional: i m using Nokia C1-01 to use the application?is that possible written by JAVA language?

    Java ME has not such features. Anyway, the thread is moved to the Java boards now; if there are any good ideas, you will get them here.

    what you can do is to place a predefined app for very specific keys in the options/setting of your device. With very specific I mean that those are predefined keys by the manufacturer, so you cannot say I'd like to react on a specific sequence of buttons nor on a button which already has a specific functionality (for example the number keypad).
    This means that the user will have to set that up, your app itself wont be able to do that.
    I had that working on a S60 (N95)...
