    CVideoPlayerUtility streaming

    I want to use CVideoPlayerUtility::OpenUrl() to stream a video. I have two questions.

    1- Must I use rtsp protocol? Can't I use a http url?
    2- When I tried sample code, OpenUrl() leaves with -39 KErrAbort, any help with this error code?

    Thank you.

    2:- When I tried sample code, OpenUrl() leaves with -39 KErrAbort, any help with this error code?:- can you paste some code so that symbian experts on forum look at this.

    My code is mere standard..
    Code:
    _LIT(KUrl , " **some url ** " );

    CVideoPlayerUtility* player = CVidePlayerUtility::NewL(this); //this is a pointer to an observer object
    player->OpenUrl(KUrl);
    then the observer method, after Prepare() call, comes with KErrAbort error code.

    Re: CVideoPlayerUtility streaming

    most of the time the RTSP streaming doesn't works on emulator(at least in my case it never works). but if RTSP is installed on ur same PC as ur emulator you can try using rtsp://127.0.0.1/urfile.3gp. Note that some format of 3gp files are not supported on some device so try using a basic .3gp file first.
