    Question RNDIS driver for N9

    Hello,

I try to connect N9 to my Windows XP for deploying application.
    My QTSDK is 2.3.0.
    The process is http://doc.qt.nokia.com/qtcreator-2....ing-maemo.html

However, N9 cannot be connected to my machine. In windows, Nokia N9 RNDIS/Ethernet driver is not found. Where can I find it? I installed OVI suite but it does not helped.

Remember Latest version of QtSDK is 1.1.3, not 2.3.0

That page is for Maemo, check this article for Connecting MeeGo Harmattan Devices.

There is no need to install OVI suite on machine. Just start SDK connectivity on device and Configure Connections to Harmattan Devices in Qt Creator .

Acutlly, the QT SDK is 1.1.3 and QTCreator inside the package is 2.3.0. I used the correct version (but wrote it wrongly in the previous post).

    Following the process

"When you connect the device to your Windows PC, Windows tries to install a driver for the Linux USB Ethernet connection. In the Found New Hardware Wizard, select No, not this time in the first dialog and Install the software automatically in the second dialog."

On my PC, the missing driver is "Nokia N9 RNDIS/Ethernet driver" and it's not Linux UBS Ethernet connection as in the documentation and the driver cannot be found.
(The document says: If you develop on Windows XP and use a USB connection to run applications on the device, you need the Nokia USB drivers that are installed as part of the Qt SDK. I also try to find it in QTSDK but it does not work).

I still cannot connect my device and I run out of solution right now

I can be wrong, but it seems Nokia Suite from betalabs installs latest RNDIS driver (dated by 2011 )

I downloaded Nokia Suite 3.2.66 Beta from http://betalabs.nokia.com/apps/nokia-suite-beta but it does not work.
    I'm still missing some drivers.

The solution I found for this is when prompted for the driver.
    Choose select manually from list.
Choose from network adapter Microsoft and there should be a driver named NDIS, which worked for me (Win 7, but probably there in xp too).

I updated to the newest QT SDK and now N9 is connected (automatically). I updated SDK multiple times these day, but the last update seems to be helpful.
