    Question How to force device screen orientation to landscape/portrait

    How to force device screen orientation to landscape/portrait? I'm not meaning now how to do it in my application, but I need to do it for device so that ALL applications would follow that rule(excluding those which have specifically defined only landscape mode like camera).

    I know that by disabling sensor setting I can force device to portrait mode, but I could not find way to force screen to landscape by that way.

    I have seen application like that in ovi store, so it should be possible. But I could not find any API/documentation about it.

    Anyone any ides?

    Re: How to force device screen orientation to landscape/portrait

    Hi,

    I found that a Symbian^3 R&D tool called ScreenGrabber can do that but it seems using non-public API. If you have Symbian^3 source code you can check it out:

    src_oss_app.zip\src_oss_app_rndtools.zip\sf\app\rndtools\screengrabber\src\SGMainView.cpp (CScreenGrabberMainView::HandleCommandL)

    Regards
