    [j2me] playing multiple audios

    Im developing a mobile guitar tablature reader for s60 phones. basically the program reads notes from a textfile and plays a midi file from its resources. so At most ill be needing 6 audio players running at the same time.

    The program runs well on WTK but when i tried it on a e66 phone, theres a huge delay between plays. so is there anyway to work around this problem? Thanks in advance.

    You might want to implement player pooling, for your player objects, if you are not already doing it. The start of pooled players is a bit faster than unprepared players.

    Some other design considerations regarding minimizing playback delay is to avoid garbage collecting your objects, or avoid blocking UI threads. You can find more information here:
