    Cool [Moved]Display name for the content is different than the one on the device.

    I have submitted my symbian, c++ application/content recently. this content is for symbian 3 , s60 5th edition mobile and s60 3rd edition mobile /device.

    After submitting the content the QA people gave the following report :

    Display name for the content is different than the one on the device.

    My content's Display Name is YuppTV

    SIS(X) filename is YuppTV.sisx.

    what is thje exact reason for such issue/problem.

    Check what the application manager says for the name as well, as well as what is shown in menu, and then make sure that you also use same name for Nokia Store.

    application manager?

    At my side icon and name is same as mentioned in the ovi site. YuppTV is the display name I wanted i.e icon name etc.

    in .pan

    inline void Panic(TApp1Panics aReason)
    {
    _LIT(applicationName, "YuppTV");

    in.rss

    RESOURCE TBUF r_default_document_name
    {
    buf="YuppTV";
    }

    in .rls

    #define qtn_caption_string "YuppTV"
    User::Panic(applicationName, aReason);
    }

    The panics file is certainly not the place where you can efficiently rename an application. When a panic appears, the application is already rejected by QA.
    You should check the #-header in the .pkg file, that is the name which is going to appear in the Application Manager.
    Code:
    #{"HelloWorld"},(0xE1234567),1,0,0

    Re: Display name for the content is different than the one on the device.

    Yes Iam not seeing " YuppTV" as the application installed in the device . My application manager is not showing "MyView" instead of YuppTV. "MyView" is my Application name which I had built and named as YuppTV.sisx. But desired display name I want is YuppTV.

    Please correct me . I think there is something wrong with "MyView"

    Ok I have corrected the .pkg file It was " MyView" instead of "YuppTV" at #{"HelloWorld"},(0xE1234567),1,0,0 . What is primary screenshot . Is it different from application icon..

    Please do not ask unrelated follow up questions, at least when you are not explaining well enough what you mean, basically I'm not getting what your problem is. I though assume that the name issue is now fixed.

    As you said I have checked the app manager. My desired name "yuppTV" is visible there.
