What do you mean? .so files are shared libraries. What do you want to do?

So do you want to create a new keyboard for a not supported language (if yes take a look at http://code.google.com/p/maliit-plugin-jp/)
or do you want change the stile/colors and things like that?

libmeego-keyboard-quick.so is dynamic library and you cannot actually modify it. Or better if you want to make some changes directly to the library I suggest you to:
    1. contact the Nokia maintainer
    2. download the source code from gitorious.

Yes, I wanna develop a new keyboard for not supported language, and finally it will be uploaded to OVI store.
I am not sure, if I develop a maliit plugin, will final user have to download more maliit packages to make my plugin work ? I mean dependency issue.

If I develop a new keyboard based on MeegoIMFramework, there will not be any dependency problem ?

I am very interested in doing the same for another language. Can anyone answer this question?

This is a good question. I asked this question to OVI people. I will update you as soon as I get an answer.

I was able to install a keyboard (Bulgarian Phonetic) through MesInput and a custom layout (through xml) someone had made. It works perfect and seems to be easy to do for other keyboards. More info on: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=79492

I asked to OVI people and basically packages submitted to OVI must not depend on other packages.
So maliit should be packages with a language plugin.
