    Question Play mp3 file and vibrate phone simultaneously

    How to play a .mp3 file through program
    How to vibrate the phone,i dont want to vibrate phone continuosly,just vibrate for 3 sce then stop then again vibrate
    and so

    Thanks bro,successfully implemented both
    But i found strange bug
    Whenever my phone is kept on charging vibra class crashes the app
    if i remove it from charging no crashing and vibration works normal
    i have declared iVibra = CHWRMVibra::NewL(this); in constructl
    and calling iVibra->StartVibraL(2000); whenever a particular function is acheived
    i know this is strange bug i checked every other thing...
    commenting vibra when charging is on doesnt crash the app
    so bug is in vibra only
    can anybody throw some light on this...

    Otherwise vibration is disabled when the charger is connected in order to protect the mechanical parts. You probably get some error code from StartVibraL. Common negative numbers are here: http://www.developer.nokia.com/Commu...ki/Error_codes
    So if it turns out to be a leave, you can simply TRAP it.

    can u tell me capabilities required for playing sound in S^3 phones via this method

    No capabilities are needed for the simple CMda... playback API-s.
    If you do not hear the sound, that may be a volume problem. Instead of hardcoding numbers like "10", use a percentage of MaxVolume. It has always been the preferable method, and since the volume range has changed (it is 0-1000 on many Symbian^3 devices as I remember), it has become more important.
