    Question Protect QML Code and Project Name Problems

    hi guys,
    i have some problems.

    1.how can i protect qml and javscript source code of my app. my app source code appears in the opt/my apps folder. how can i protect or encrypt it?

    2. i cannot use spaces and turkish characters in my app. when i changed name (in *.desktop and harmattan.desktop files), and after when i touch my app icon, not working. how can i use spaces and turkish characters?

    To have spaces in the application name you can use DEPLOYMENT.display_name in the Qt project file (*.pro), ex:

    DEPLOYMENT.display_name = "Your App Name"

    @rahulvala, thank you. i tried your way. but my app name didnt change in main menu.

    i tried change name of *.desktop file, but still the same. my app not working.

    and how can i protect my app source code (qml files and javascript files) ?

    Right now there is no protection available, Any advance developer can unpack the file to get fully QML files and get the code.

    ok. i understand that.

    so, your way not working. i added my .pro files DEPLOYMENT.display_name = "Your App Name", but my app name didnt change in the main menu.
    what can i do for this?

    oh. i fixed it.
    i encoded the .desktop file with notepad++ (with utf-8 without BOM). then it worked success.

    DEPLOYMENT is only used on Windows CE and the Symbian platform.

    @prodigy47: Yes, modifying *.desktop is the trick to change app name.
