thanks, gonna look into that on monday. Anyway annoucements should generally be made in http://www.developer.nokia.com/Commu...d-Job-Listings section.

Also note that wiki can be used for making tutorials etc.

    Hi

My idea was to post here on the forum the articles and resources I find useful for developers. Its not really and announcement its more like useful resources that people could be interested on in context with WP7 development. The "News, Announcements and Job Listings" seems to be more of a mix bag, not targeting Wp7 specifically.

I'll take a look at the wiki.

    Hi João

I'd think the best place for information like this would be the category page: http://www.developer.nokia.com/Commu...:Windows_Phone, in the section "Basic Information and Important Links". If you're expecting to find a lot of information then create an article "Windows Phone Information and Resources" and put it into that along with any other information you find. Note that the static site has lots of links to useful resources and is maintained - so this should be the first link in the above page if you create it.

In terms of content we're always happy to get anything on Windows phone. However we're aware that there are excellent resources on MSDN and elsewhere - I definitely don't want us creating examples that are of lower quality than existing articles elsewhere. In this case, provide a linking summary of the set of resources. What we do very much want is articles on:
    * porting between Nokia platforms (ie Qt and Windows Phone)
    * Nokia-specific Windows phone (e.g. using services only available on Nokia Windows phones.)

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me via forum private messaging (I'm the community services manager with primary responsibility for wiki)

    Regards
    Hamish Willee

    PS
I don't believe that this particular posting was inappropriate for this forum - its a useful resource that I'd expect to see in this context. On the other hand it would probably be better if we had a sticky for useful WP resources and people just updated that one posting. Jukka, would that be appropriate?

I went to a MSoft training day last weekend and this tutorial was highly recommended by a number of the attendees.

As a complete beginner I stumbled upon the videos for WP 7 development by Mr. Bob Tabor. He has done an excellent tutorial videos that wll ensure a strong foundation for the Window Phone 7 beginner developers. You can find his videos on the Youtube and I just love the programming due to his teaching.

    Thanks!
