    QQrdecoder on meego

    Imported the QQrDecoder project for meego-harmattan target. Got compiled it successfully after some minor changes, the .deb file was made successfully. Now after i install the application on device and open it, a black blank appears with zoom in & zoom out icons only & no camera is activated.

    I then tried adding credentials to manifest.aegis file:

    Code:
    <aegis>
        <request>
            <credential name="GRP::video" />
            <credential name="GRP::pulse-access" />
            <for path="/opt/QQrDecoder/bin/QQrDecoder" />
        </request>
    </aegis>
    After adding this is manifest file , i rebuilded the application & a "package -name".aegis file was made.

    After this i installed the deb file again but still only the blank black was there with those icons only.
    So any pointers as what could be the reason for such behavior that why the camera does not got activated or something i did wrong?

    Re: QQrdecoder on meego

    I use to put my custom aegis files in the package-name.aegis file ONLY if I build my app in Scratchbox.
    No really sure if that's valid if you build your application using Qt SDK.
    In fact Qt SDK projects use to define the AEGIS tokens in the debian/manifest.aegis.

    Can you seen any error message printed out in the console?
    Does the app run if launched by developer via SSH? If it works there, then it's a security framework problem.

    running the application on emulator does not even launches the application, the console message i can see is segmentation fault (core dumped), but on device it opens successfully.

    something like below in console:

    QLayout: Attempting to add QLayout "" to QCameraControllerWidget "centralwidget", which already has a layout
    ResourceSet::initAndConnect().... initializing...
    ResourceEngine::ResourceEngine(1) - connectionMode = 0002

    resourceEngine->initialize() returned true
    ResourceEngine(1)::connectToManager() - **************** locking....
    All resources as bitmask is 0x0000

    Re: QQrdecoder on meego

    Emulator doesn't emulate the camera hardware.
    If it works on the device, then it's fine! ;D

    Re: QQrdecoder on meego

    Hi,
    I just got started with the QQrDecoder example with the goal of having a specific QR code scanner running on a N9, but I'm stuck on the app not being able to run on the N9 due to the libQZXing.so.1 not being found. I do understand that it's not installed onto the N9, but as I'm new to Qt development I don't understand exactly how to tell Qt Creator to install the .so file onto the N9. Can someone advice me?!

    Starting remote process ...
    Remote process started.
    /opt/QQrDecoder/bin/QQrDecoder: error while loading shared libraries: libQZXing.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
    Finished running remote process. Exit code was 127.

    Thanks,
    Per
