But am unable to find the source code over there..So can anyone please guide me over how to make a web browser in Symbian.

    Thanks...

    hi,

you can get the code using svn for the s60webkit

    http://trac.webkit.org/wiki/S60CheckoutAndBuild

    svn checkout svn://anonsvn.opensource.apple.com/svn/webkit/S60/trunk S60

    hi,

    there will be webcore/platform/symbian

which corresponds to s60 and similarly in webui

    webkit has webcore and webui
webxore is the engine part while webui is for ui activities and display

you can search for "symbian" on the checkout folder and see the appropriate implementation made for s60 browser.

On Symbian/S60, you could also try to use the embedded browser control (already built-in, compiled webcore component that's been on S60 since S60 3rd Edition). Perhaps it'll be enough for your needs.

Re: Making an s60 Web Browser

    hi,

    sorry my mistake

    http://trac.webkit.org/browser/trunk...re/platform/qt

    check this...
Symbian port is not maintained by nokia currently so there is no much support for it.

Qt port on Symbian is active so you can use it and can work on it and its support is also avaliable.

    This should be useful: http://www.developer.nokia.com/Commu...er_Control_API
Also you can refer the Browser Control Example available with S60 3rd edition fp1/fp2 SDK & Browser Control API in the SDK Help.

Not that well documented (and originally, at least, not that well-behaving, either), but... http://www.developer.nokia.com/Commu...er_Control_API
