How to run J2ME Polish Project on emulator?

    Hi Everyone,

I've made a project on j2me polish. but am not able to test (run) my project on emulator. For every small change in my project, i need to test it on mobile which is very time consuming.

pls tell me any emulator which support j2me Polish as well as UTF-8 (Hindi text). i am currently using Java(TM) Platform Micro Edition SDK 3.0, and WTK.

    Thanks

    Based on this thread:
    http://forum.enough.de/viewtopic.php?t=1934

Nokia SDK for Java 1.0 should work with J2ME Polish. Have you tried it?

Also, J2ME Polish has it's own microemulator, maybe you could try to launch it from your IDE.

Generally speaking, LCDUI classes in both Java Micro Edition SDK 3.0 and Nokia's SDK do support UTF-8 Hindi text, though when using external libaries, there is no warantee that the support is not broken. You should test your application on your target devices in order to be certain.

Re: How to run J2ME Polish Project on emulator?

    Hi skalogir,

One of my j2me polish project is running on emulator. but my other project is giving an error:

Error: Could not find Application descriptor at E:\new\Narega\dist\Generic\AnyPhone\test.jad
Error: No valid application descriptor defined
E:\new\Narega\nbproject\build-impl.xml:889: Execution failed with error code 1.

In this error my jad file name showing test.jad but in actual my jad file name is Narega.jad

    How to resolve this ...

    Thanks !!

Did you rename your MIDlet while working in Eclipse, or did you drag the MIDlet file to your project from another location in your PC without creating a new Java ME MIDlet? If that's the case, try to create a new project, manually add a new Java ME MIDlet by right clicking on your project's directory, copy paste the code of the MIDlet from your old project, then add any addtional classes to your project and try to compile again.
