S^3 homescreen widgets: WRT alternatives (Qt/QML?)

There seems to be very little documentation on how to implement homescreen widgets, other than using WRT. Is it possible to do so using Qt or QML? Thanks

    Hi,

there is no way to make homescreen widget looks like WRT from Qt. What rahul linked is just a Qt wrapper for the native Symbian APIs. You can only make a clickable HSW with an image and/or one/two row text. You can't update -it, etc. If you want to create a usable HSW, you need to do it with WRT.

    cheers,
    chriske

Thanks, I've decided to go the WRT route.

Now the project website is opening, check how to add widget functionality in Qt apps : https://projects.developer.nokia.com/hswidgetsinqt

In WRT you can't change the HS size (for Belle).

Is it possible in Qt? (starting from hswidgetsinqt project?)
I discovered Qt in the summer 2010, it was sooo easy and nice to use, that I begun to write some apps.
Thank you Nokia, for giving me this possibility!

    I found this api documentation:
    http://library.developer.nokia.com/i...sher_API5.html

There are different homescreen templates (wideimage, onerow, tworow and threerow), they have all the same template base:
    plugin.AI3_widget

What template is used on Symbian Belle for the single icons? How is it possible that they have a different size?

I can't find any documentation related to plugin.AI3_widget!
