    maximum value of accelerometer

    Hi,

    I wrote simple a program that shows value of acceleration on x,y and z. On QT simulator is maximum 50 but in real my N8 show only 19,62. And when N8 lies face up on a desk, value of +z axis is only 8,4 and not 9,8. Can anybody tell me what is wrong? Thanks.

    Re: maximum value of accelerometer

    Most Symbian devices have their sensor data read via the Sensor Framework API. Some limitations appear in the Sensors API as a result.

    Read this : QAccelerometer sensor API

    regards,

    Re: maximum value of accelerometer

    I have found some solution. Accelerometer have 2 output ranges, first is [-19,62; 19,62] and second is [-78.48; 78,48]. So I used accelerometer.setOutputRange(1). But when I start app and mobile lay face up on a desk, value of +z was now 30 - there was the same increase of value. So there is no difference between output ranges. Can you explain me why? I have tried also sensor.setProperty("maximumReadingCount", 100);
    sensor.setProperty("processAllReadings", false); but no change.
