The gdb process exited unexpectedly (code 1)

    Please help me!
I got this error code 3 months ago, after an update to the SDK (i think). Every time I executed my project on the phone, I got this error message. Since september I wasn't able to debug on my N8. But I found a workaround: use only the simulator

Yesterday I got the same error also on the simulator! Now I can't start the simulator anymore
I googled for this error message but I can't find anything. I don't have breakepoints on my project. So I created a new project "untitled" and I have the same error message. Every time I want launch the simulator!

I don't know what GDB is. Today I uninstalled the entire SDK from my PC and I installed again, with all updates.

I have always the same error message when I want launch the simulator!!!

Hope this can help you (I am working on Windows 7 64bit):

I discovered Qt in the summer 2010, it was sooo easy and nice to use, that I begun to write some apps.
Thank you Nokia, for giving me this possibility!

Re: The gdb process exited unexpectedly (code 1)

    Yeeeee

I already don't know what GDB is.

But I know that it is something like a debugger. A Open Source debugger based on python that is implemented by many compilers (-studio).

My problem was, that I had also another studio who inserted the python path in the system path.

Right click the Computer icon in the start menu, go to properties. On the left tab, go to Advanced system settings. In the window that comes up, go to the Advanced tab, then at the bottom click Environment Variables. Click in the list of user variables and start typing Python, and repeat for System variables, just to make certain that you don't have variables for PYTHONPATH or PYTHONHOME. If you find pythonpath or pythonhome, delete them or set them to the Nokia SDK python directory.
Hope this will help other users
