    Sensor Framework on E66

    Dear Devs,

I am want to run a project bult for S60 FP2 devices
    which uses the Sensor Framework,
on the E66 which is said to be compatible with it.

The project -which cannot be compiled with FP1-
installs fine on the E66, but does not run (doesnt even show the UI
and I guess it is missing a library)

Has anyone managed to run such a project on the E66?
How do I find out what I am missing?

    cheer
    S.

    Re: Sensor Framework on E66

Basically I can not remember seeing any documentation that would say that it would be 100% compatible, it is basically same framework, but there can indeed be minor differences, which may cause problems. Also compiling with newer SDK can cause all sorts of additional problems, thus if you really want to support that device as well, you do need to prepare your self for doing extensive testing with it.

and as said you should first get the panic code, and then find out which line is causing it.

    Re: Sensor Framework on E66

Since there can be multiple things which are missing (like the complete API, or the given sensor), it might be a good idea to check if the application starts or not.
    Put a simple
    Code:
    User::Panic(_L("It is running"),666);
as the first line of your E32Main, and you will see if the application starts.
    - if it starts (so you get this panic message), the KErrNotFound happens inside the application, and you can handle it
    - if it does not start (so you get the System error -1 again), some .dll is missing.
