Exclamation Problem: PySide Apps and Nokia Store QA

    Hi boys and girls,

I'm developing apps with PySide/QML and I've pushed two apps to Nokia Store so far. Both were packaged with pyside-assistant, now I wanted to publish two new apps (lite and payed version) and this morning I got an e-mail that told me that QA failed, because in the deb-file are also paths to /usr/bin and /usr/share. It says only /opt/* will be allowed. But the standard way, pyside-assistant is packaging deb files is to push the files to /usr/bin and /usr/share/<appname>.

In the past QA did not fail. So why they changed it?

Most important question, how to create a "legal" deb-file?!

    Thanks, AlphaX2.

Because the rules is that any app has to install its content (data, binaries, libs) in /opt/unique-app-name.
This prevent to mess up the system.

Do you have a .pro file in your project? If yes you can change target directory from there.

With PySide/Python it should not be possible to use SDK and pro-Files. I created now a "legal" package" with
    Code:
    dpkg -b ./<data-structure>
, I think this would be the fastest way for everybody working with PySide/QML.

My N9/Ageis said nothing against this *.deb package, I hope QA will also not.

    Hehe^^

Okay: CountMeeLite (the "illegal" but not failed Lite version ) and CountMeePro (the legal and now passed version!).

If you are not sure about the Pro versions features:
