    XHTML and WAP 1.x browsers

What happens when a WAP 1.x browser encounters a XHTML page? Will the page be rendered at all (w/ no images)? Does it matter if the XHTML is Basic or MP?
    Thanks, Gerry

    XHTML and WAP 1.x browsers

Thanks Tum, are you refering to WAP 1.0? or WAP 1.2.1 as well?

I ask becasue the Nokia 3650 apparently has a WAP 1.2.1 browser, but they say it supports XHTML ...

    Hi,

Nokia GSM WAP Phone Characteristic inform that 3650 support XHTML MP and WAP 1.2.1.

The browser is a dual-mode browser that natively supports both WML 1.x and XHTML Mobile Profile (XHTML MP) with WAP CSS (WCSS). This means that existing browsing applications written in WML 1.x will work in the browser.

    Hello,

I am just creating a new wap site for my company and I was wondering if I should create it in XHTML or WML. I want the site to work on all phones - new and old.

Could you please give me some advice, is there a way to have a XHTML site for new phones and WML for old? If so how.

    Thankyou

    Ben
