    InfoBubble & Windows Phone bugs

    Hello,

    I'm running my tests in Google Chrome and in Windows Phone on a Nokia Lumia 800.
    Panning the map with touch doesn't work on my Nokia Lumia 800 running Windows Phone.
    The documentation says it should be initiated by

    Code:
    new nokia.maps.map.component.Behavior()
    I also included this in my code:

    Code:
    var TOUCH = nokia.maps.dom.Page.browser.touch,
    		CLICK = TOUCH ? "tap" : "click";
    Does anyone have an example of this working on Nokia's own Lumia 800 in the browser? It works on iPhone and Android 2.3, but not on Nokia's own device?

    Nokia Maps API is not idesigned to be used with Mobile devices, it is designed to be used with Web browsers. So if you want to use Maps in mobile devices, you should use APIs which are designed for the mobile device.

    I'm executing this code in web browsers, mobile and desktop. When I met the creator of Nokia Location APIs for Javascript at a MWC Hackathon, he explained the TOUCH settings should allow it to work in mobile browsers. So as you can imagine, I was surprised when it worked in iOS and Android but not on a Nokia Lumia 800. I'm attempting to figure out if this is a bug, so please don't send me to another maps provider. It's not constructive. Let's help Nokia get this right. Thanks.

    Hi there,

    The basic isssue relies on the fact that IE9 does not support touch events; it sort of a does, but it doesn't send touch events to the JavaScript layer. On the API side this cannot be currently overcome.

    Although the Nokia Maps API supports touch events, the IE9 Mobile browser does not, check out the following links:

    It looks like the only workaround to keep backwards compatibility is to use "mousedown" , 'mousemove" "mouseup" events as in this example here:

    Yes, I noticed a similar issue with Google Maps in Windows Phone as well. :(
    The platform is nearly there, usability is amazing, now they just need to switch to WebKit ;)

    Thanks for the replies! Very helpful links as well :)
    Thanks,
