    NFC raw-data read/write

Is it possible to read/write raw-data to NFC-tag with Nokia, without using NDEF - format.
Nokia phones already uses NXP-chip (PN544) supporting ISO15693-tags on hardware-level.

Now I would assume that writing/reading ISO15693-tags should be possible if nokia-platform only gives possibility to bypass standard NDEF, and lets developer communicate purely with 13.56 MHZ frequency.

Am I right? With Android this is possible..

    Re: NFC raw-data read/write

    Hello larivaan,

and welcome to Nokia Developer Discussion Boards!

This has been discussed for Qt here: http://www.developer.nokia.com/Commu...Raw-tag-access

For Java ME, this could be possible by using PlainTagConnection since it defines the basic mechanism to communicate with the different RFID tags that contain non-NFC Forum formatted data. However this requires that the API implementation supports handling of that physical target type. More information on Java Developer's Library: Java Developer's Library 3.14 > Javadocs > (JSR-257) Contactless Communication API 1.0 > Package javax.microedition.contactless.rf.PlainTagConnection: http://library.developer.nokia.com/i...e-summary.html
