    Sorry didnt understood your question. WSDL is a standard and its stands for "Web Service Definition Language". You can find more information about it here: http://www.w3.org/TR/wsdl. Asdl is not tightly coupled with asmx.... and in Visual Studio you can add a service reference to many different types of services. Can you be more specific?

    Thank you joaocardoso for your reply. The SOAP service that I'm trying to hook up to WP7 is powered by Java.Using Add -> Service Reference generates the proxy client, but unfortunately I can't find any 'SoapClient' proxy methods in my Reference.cs.Are there any workarounds for the auto-generated client proxy for SOAP services on WP7?
