In march 2011 I download SymbianOS source code from symbian.org. After downloading I have directories named PDK_2.0.3, PDK_3.0.4, PDK_4.0.a, developer.symbian.org, ideas, mailing-lists and source with files *.hg. How i can extract data from it?
Sorry for my english. This post on russian :
В марте 2011 года с сайта symbian.com я скачал исходный код SymbianOS. После загрузки получил набор папок с файлами : PDK_2.0.3, PDK_3.0.4, PDK_4.0.a, developer.symbian.org, ideas, mailing-lists, в том числе и source с файлами *.hg. Как извлечь из них содержимое?

    Hello,
into PDK_* you should have lots of src_oss*.zip files, those are the sources.
Otherwise, please take a look at project symbian_dump on Source Forge.

.hg is the format of Mercurial revision control system, you can use those files as local 'repository'. If you are familiar with Tortoise stuff (like TortoiseSVN or TortoiseCVS), probably you will be happy with TortoiseHg.
Otherwise you can get the command line version, and use it as hg clone <somewhere else>\oss+FCL+sf+app+contacts.hg, so the .hg file has to be in some other directory than where you want to extract it.

    Re: SymbianOS source code

    Hi,
hg - Mercurial source code management system
    hg clone [OPTION]... SOURCE [DEST]
    Where option can be:

-U --noupdate the clone will only contain a repository (no working copy)
-r --rev a changeset you would like to have after cloning
--pull use pull protocol to copy metadata
--uncompressed use uncompressed transfer (fast over LAN)
-e --ssh specify ssh command to use
--remotecmd specify hg command to run on the remote side
Where source is the source of the original files located in the repository, where it can be a remote url or a file system directory. And destination is where the source code will be located in your local filesystem.

You can refer this for Tortoisehg
