Smile How to package a wgt(S40 web apps) to a jar file which can be installed on device?

How to package a wgt(S40 web apps) to a jar file which can be installed on device?
Or is there other way to deploy a web apps on s40 device as a short cut?

Why I am asking that because I want to add a wap site link to device as a short cut instead of input the url by browser?

Hi imzzy and welcome to Forum!

Nokia publish system generates the Java application, from the .wgt file as part of publishing flow:
    http://www.developer.nokia.com/Resou...avaapplication

If you want to have link e.g. for testing purposes you can copy the long URL and place a link to a web page. Then when when you need to open the WebApp, just
use Nokia Browser to navigate to that page and click link to open the web app.

Thanks for the answer, is there any way to generate the jar file by myself?

No that I'm aware of. In addition it is good to note, that web apps deployed to test servers in development phase are removed after two weeks of inactivity.
So even if one could package the web app, the URL is not guaranteed to be valid forever.
