    Question [moved] Deployment on Qt (C++) Mobile Application problem

    I'm developing a game application for Symbian^3 devices using Qt SDK 1.2.1. Below is the code on my .pro file

    Code:
    # Add files and directories to ship with the application
    # by adapting the examples below.
    file1.source = /n-back/sounds/*.wav
     dir1.source = /n-back/sounds/
     file2.source = /general/sounds/*.mp3
     dir2.source = /general/sounds/
     file3.source = /general/images/level_buttons/*.png
     dir3.source = /general/images/level_buttons/
     file4.source = /general/images/g_mode_buttons/*.*
     dir4.source = /general/images/g_mode_buttons/
     file5.source = /general/images/AfterQuickPlay/*.png
     dir5.source = /general/images/AfterQuickPlay/
      file6.source = /general/images/*.*
     dir6.source = /general/images/
     file7.source = /eggmatics/images/*.*
     dir7.source = /eggmatics/images/
     file8.source = /ladderlogic/images/*.*
     dir8.source = /ladderlogic/images/
     file9.source = /vocabulary/images/*.*
     dir9.source = /vocabulary/images/
     file10.source = /running eggs/images/*.*
     dir10.source = /running eggs/images/

    Re: [moved] Deployment on Qt (C++) Mobile Application problem

    Note that Qt has a separate set of boards, moved your question there.
    While I do not use Qt, the error message about missing c:\running pretty much suggests that the file/dirxy.source = /running eggs/images has some problem: since the message mentions "running" and not "running eggs", it seems that the space is used as a separator character. I do not know Qt, but escaping the space with a backslash may be one approach, like running\ eggs, or wrapping the entire thing into "" may be an other. Because of the Linux-Unix origins, the \ thing could be the first one to try.

    Re: [moved] Deployment on Qt (C++) Mobile Application problem

    Hi cnazario,

    I checked this, if you use your file name with spaces in " " in the .pro file, it works.

    Again this applies only for the resource files or other than source files.

    If you use a file name with space for the .h or .cpp for which you expect moc files to be generated, that creates problems with qmake, qtcreator, it doesnt handle spaces in that case. It is clearly given here that use of spaces in file names could make it misbehave.

    In the .pro file -

    '\' has a special meaning "line continues"
    and / is path separator

    so you can use "" for your issue.

    Re: [moved] Deployment on Qt (C++) Mobile Application problem

    Many thanks to those who replied! We are still not finished with the deployment but atleast there is already a progress. The Qt Creator has already produced a .sis file. Our problem now is that Qt Creator says it is waiting for the CODA application to connect, while deploying. Any suggestions?

    Do you have CODA application installed from the QtSDK/ start menu options - and running?
