Hide application when started from homescreen widget

I used the Home Screen Publishing API in my Qt application to create a widget for my application. The widget has been created and it is working without any problem. When the mobile is restarted, the application is started automatically if the home screen widget is present.

I want to send my application to the background if it has been started from home screen. Is it possible to find whether the application has been started from home screen and send it to background?
    Thanks in advance.

Re: Hide application when started from homescreen widget

Hi catharsis. I tried the solution, but could not make it work on a Qt based application. I found a different solution for my problem, without the need of finding whether the application started from homescreen widget. Thanks a lot for your support.
