    Flash Lite dead for Symbian?

    Ciao,

after reading about the online packager not working there is no Nokia supported solution for packaging Flash Lite content for Symbian devices, so is Flash Lite dead for Symbian?

I know there are other solutions in the market for packaging but Nokia support is not there anymore.

So is anyone considering swithing to S40 or just drop Flash Lite for good?

    Alessandro

Thanks for your message. The service is still running. http://esitv008song.itlase.com/sispack/ We do aware it has not been that stable and offline/stuck once in a while. And as you notice, it is an older tools. Our engineer resources have been busy on other projects. Sorry about that. I have subscribed to this forum, and if I see a thread or message about the outage, I will look into it.

With that said, if in the future we have to ramp down the service, we will make announcement here. Until then, the service is still running. For now, if it is offline, it is only temporary.

Re: Flash Lite dead for Symbian?

    Hello,

We can provide SWF2Go online packaging service if Nokia can support us.

SWF2Go works with latest Nokia Symbian devices. I tried to offer the same internally some time ago to Nokia, but didn't got any response.

Flash Lite is still great option for casual games, brand promotional apps etc. But unfortunately Adobe and Nokia have completely abandoned Flash Lite on Symbian OS. I believe at least Nokia should fully support Flash Lite until Symbian OS is around.
