    In-app purchase & J2ME Polish integration

    Hello everybody,

Has anybody achieved to integrate in-app purchase in J2ME apps? I have an In-app purchase app that fully works without J2ME polish but it stops working when is integrated with polish.

I tried to use all the default devices with J2ME.

Specifically, the building phase is correct but IAPClientPaymentManager.getIAPClientPaymentManager() returns null every time.

Has anybody any suggestions? Maybe it is a configuration or imcompatiblity problem that I don't see.

    Thank you.

    Hi

Perhaps J2ME polish replaces original J2ME SDK judging by polish library size ~64 M. Unnable to instantiate IAPClientPaymentManager is a bad sign. What polish library do you need for ? Considering IAP question you can develop only for S40 - if you follows Nokia recommendations with all its limitations and documentation inconsistency , you will have less troubles than trying to integrate polish in S40.

I suggest you not to use J2ME polish

    Hi izinin,

Thank you for your qick response. What do you suggest to have a good GUI without J2ME polish?

You are right, I am developing only for S40.

    Hi Antonio

I'm sorry i don't know what is the best alternative library for S40 GUI implementation -- but if you use only libraries provided with S40 tools you will not make mistake because it is designed especially for S40 that is the only my point.
IMO, in contrary to WRT, for example, where web documents processing is more standard across platforms there is possibility for third-party libraries use but not for S40.

    Hi Antonio,

I assume that the reason why you are looking for an alternative GUI for your Java MIDlet is because you have exhausted the fully supported high-level LCDUI components. If that's the case, you could also try to use LWUIT

There is also this list of UI Frameworks, that you could try.
