Access the native address book from a WRT app?

    Hello,

I'd like to give the user the ability to select one or more contacts from the phone's address book. Would it be possible to launch the phones native address book application from the WRT app, let the user choose some contacts and then return those contacts to the app? I've currently implemented an "in-app" address book / contact picker type of interface, but accessing the native user interface would be preferable from a performance and usability standpoint.

Re: Access the native address book from a WRT app?

Hi jscoder and welcome to forum!

Native address book can be launched by it's UID, but there is no channel to get the data back from address book. In short, this use case cannot be accomplished with Symbian WRT.
