    TextField issue in Nokia X2-01

    Hi All,

    Thanks for reading my post.

    I have developed j2me app and deployed in Nokia X2-01(QWERTY Keypad), in my app the page contains 3 textfield and one date field.

    First two textfields mode is NUMERIC. Third Textfield Mode is ANY. after that i have append the date field.

    When enter the keys Q,W,A,S,Z,X,K,L , it will not appear in the 3rd textfield. After pressing function key and press any of those keys and pressing the function key for 2 times then only it appears in the 3rd textfield. If i remove the date field , in that case those keys appears in the 3rd textfield without pressing function key.

    Please any one help me to solve this issue.

    Thanks,
    Madhu

    Hi madhu23,

    In your case the problem is last one (date field) having the focus and you don't see the characters when you type.

    can you try by selecting (that takes focus) third text field and type.

    Re: TextField issue in Nokia X2-01

    Hi madhu23,

    I tried the following code on X2-01 and it works fine.

    Form f=new Form("test");
    TextField tf1=new TextField("text Field1","",10,TextField.NUMERIC);
    f.append(tf1);
    TextField tf2=new TextField("text Field2","",10,TextField.NUMERIC);
    f.append(tf2);
    TextField tf3=new TextField("text Field3","",10,TextField.ANY);
    f.append(tf3);
    DateField df1=new DateField("text Field4",DateField.DATE);
    f.append(df1);

    when Midlet is opened selection(focus) is on first text field, move the selection to third field and type.

    My device has the following software version:
    V 08.70
    RM-709

    Hi Madhu23,

    To reproduce the bug, need to type the characters outside the ITU-T layout area on Querty keyboard.
    It is fixed in latest devices like Asha 302 etc. I created known issue here

    Thanks for reporting it.
