    UI for showing video

    I am trying to display a video on the device. As per the articles that I read, came to know that if we are using forms,
    we can use the following code.
    (Item) vidItem =  (Item) vidControl.initDisplayMode(VideoControl.USE_GUI_PRIMITIVE,null);
    if we are using a canvas, then we can use the following code
    vidControl.initDisplayMode(VideoControl.USE_DIRECT_VIDEO, vidCanvas);
    However in my application I am using LWUIT 1.4 for making the UIs of my application.
    I want to know how I can display the video using LWUIT.
    Kindly help me out.

    thanks and regards,

    I am not an expert in LWUIT, but have you seen this com.sun.lwuit.MediaComponent

    ..and to ensure backward compatibility you might want to use com.sun.lwuit.VideoComponent instead, as MediaComponent seems to become deprecated. Or even better, use the standard VideoControl from the Mobile Media API as you are already doing, with an LCDUI Canvas or CustomItem (Form) and switch between your LWUIT and LCDUI displayables, when needed.
