Launch applicaion with its UID, howto with latest belle?

I have used this in my application and it worked ok before latest belle updates, but now nothing happens with this:

So any idea how this should be handled with latest Belle firmware? And so that it works with older models too?

Would suggest debugging to see whetehr all parts are actually executed, and whether you see any error codes returned, or maybe even leaves.

Well it calls the same function that works in previous Belle/Anna version, I don't get any errors back, nothing just happens.

So did you really test it in a device, and logged all possible places where there could be errors coming, as well as you did TRAP the whole thing to see that its not leaving, and still you would see it executing each line perfectly, and not producing any effect ?

That would ineed be really strange, and to check it further, I would suggest trying some other UID (any pre-installed app would work) and really closely debugging it while re-testing it.

Hmm, with further testing, I think it opens the app, but for some reason the app won't show anything anymore with the latest Belle update. So the launcher works, but something has gone bad with the other app...

Then I would suggest first enabling the extended panic code to see whether the second application actually crashes, and if not, then moving the debugging into that app to see what is happening inside of it.

Have you noticed that old versions of CODA and QtSDK might cause problem on device.
Here is more information about update: http://www.developer.nokia.com/Community/Wiki/Changes_in_Nokia_Belle_and_Qt_4.x#Changes_in_On_Device_Debugging_.28ODD.29_configuration
