    'str' object is not callable

    Hello,

I'm following the book's examples from

    http://www.developer.nokia.com/Commu...and_Operations

    But the command

    e32.pys60_version()

    returns the error

    'str' object is not callable

But if I do not use parentheses "()" in the command it works correctly

    e32.pys60_version

    '2.0.0 svn3873'

    What this error means?

Is it a misprint in the book?

    Thanks,
    Markos

Re: 'str' object is not callable

The documentation on http://pys60.garage.maemo.org/doc/s60/s60.html (http://pys60.garage.maemo.org/doc/s60/node10.html) says it is a string. And a string is not a method which could be called, that is what the message says. It seems to be a typo in the book.

    Dear wizard_hu_ ,

    Thanks for the tips.

A beginner like me gets confused with these difficulties.

I will use more the information from http://pys60.garage.maemo.org/doc/s60/s60.html

    Good Christmas,
    Markos
