Lightbulb Device definition and preverifier issue

    Hi everyone,

I am working on a 64-bit machine with Windows 7 and using the "Nokia SDK 2.0 for Java — for Series 40 apps ".

On creation of a simple MIDlet project, this is the error I get:

"The project was not build since the device definition was incomplete. Cannot find the device preverifier no a default one. Fix device definition and then try rebuilding the project."

I have not been able to resolve this so far.

Any help will be appreciated !! Thanks in adv.

Re: Device definition and preverifier issue

    Hi Raj,

Can you check if the Preverification Builder for the given project is enabled? You can do that by right clicking on the project in Package Explorer, then select Properties > Builders. You should be able to see a list of Builders for the project including a Preverification Builder. If the Preverification Builder is present in the list but disabled, try to enable it and see if that solves your problem.

Then, please ensure that in your Runtime Configuration, you have selected Nokia_SDK_2_for_Java. You can find the Runtime configuration from Package Explorer > Select your project > Select the Application Descriptor > Runtime Configuration.
