Question Displaying clickable image grid in S40

    Hii

I am very new to Nokia development and have spent days looking for answer in code examples.

This might seem very silly but I am sure people in this community will help me out.

I am trying to develop an app for Asha s40 platform

it is supposed to have a drop down menu and an image grid.

and images in grid change when user clicks on them.

    sounds simple

but I have searched a lot and all I get is sample screens and no code examples

please help me out .. wht should I use lcdui or eSWT or lwuit???

I would recommend you to use the LWUIT framework .
    Reasons
1.LWUIT provides a grid layout , provided the components and the dimensions of the grid.
2.It also provides many components that are are not available with many frameworks and the high level ui .

Catch : the binary generated will be of quite larger in size compared to others - obfuscated can reduce the size to max
the app would be little bit slower on device compared to others

lwuit provides samples as well , please go through it once for more help
    Regards,
    Venkatesh

you also might have a look at J2ME Polish and if it supports grid layout, or another option would be to make your own using canvas, I have found the following wiki articles :
    http://www.developer.nokia.com/Commu...ble_in_Java_ME
    http://www.developer.nokia.com/Commu...in_a_MIDP_Form

and the following posts on the discussion board iteslf :

Note: please don't send private questions to me, as I don't have time to provide private support. All such questions should be posted on public forums, where I and others can see and answer them.
