Traffic icon not rendwered in porttrain on Iphone

    Hi,

The traffic icon does not appear on the Iphone 4 in portrait mode when added to the page : new nokia.maps.map.component.Traffic()
It's displays correctly in landscape mode.

    Is there a fix?

Since it is officially mentioned that Javascript map libraries are supported on mobile browsers (though the platforms are not named), you seem to have found a bug.

As a work around, have you tried using MH5 framework for HTML5?

m.here.com is said to be implemented with MH5 framework as well.

Just to add, MH5 seems to be the recommended for the following platforms. I would just suggest you to use MH5 instead of JS libs in iPhone / Android devices.

    Platform Support
    MH5 supports the following platforms:

    iOS 4.3+
    Android 2.2+
    Meego
Blackberry Touch devices OS6, OS7 (experimental)
    Windows Phone 8.0 (experimental)

We want to customize the app so much the HM5, whilst great doesn't give us the flexibility we are after, plus some of our 'mobile' users actually use the app in a web browser. Any idea if this is to be fixed, can I raise it as a bug?

The way you can report a bug seems to be posting it in this forum (I believe), with the details below.

I think I have discovered a bug. How do I report it?
To report a bug in the Nokia Map API on this discussion board, please use the template below. Select and fill in the details relevant to your case. The more data you provide, the better: code to test out, screen shots, etc.

    Hardware: DESKTOP | MOBILE | BOTH <target hardware(s)>
    OS Version: XP VISTA | MAC O/S | IPAD | IPHONE <operating system(s) the bug appeared on>
Browser and Version: IE | FIREFOX | CHROME | SAFARI <browser(s) the bug appeared on>
Steps to reproduce: (example code | instructions) <code, instructions - even this behaviour does not occur every time or only occurred once>
Actual Results: (current output) <what actually happened>
Expected behaviour: <what should have happened>
Other details: <anything else that is relevant to the incident>

Re: Traffic icon not rendwered in porttrain on Iphone

Can I submit this as a bug....

Hardware: DESKTOP (resized to mobile width) | MOBILE | BOTH

OS Version: XP | MAC O/S IPHONE (in portrait mode)

Browser and Version: CHROME | SAFARI

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Create a map
    2. Add in the : new nokia.maps.map.component.Traffic()
    3. View the map in an Ihpone in portrait mode or any web browser rezised to approx mobile width

Actual Results: The traffic button disappears

Expected behaviour: Should be on screen for use

Other details: Rotating to Landscape will show the icon, rotating to portrait will remove it.
