Question How to save data locally?

    Hi!

I'm currently working on a project using PhoneGap to have an app on Android and Symbian. My problem is that I need to store data locally as the app can be compared to an to-do list. On Android HTML5 storage works (window.openDatabase) but not on Symbian Is there any possibilty to save data locally? So that it is still there on the next start? Best would be some kind of database as it is easy to handle but I'm also fine with XML or flat text file or whatever is supported.

    Best regards

With PhoneGap on Symbian, wouldn't you be able to use native Symbian C++ calls to access the file system or Symbian database functions?

Re: How to save data locally?

I don't know if it is somehow possible, this is why I've asked ;-)
From my understanding of phonegap it is not possible as I code the app only using HTML5, CSS and JS. PhoneGap then takes care of native APIs like camera, gps etc.

    Maybe someone can help me?!

If PhoneGap itself doesn't do it, then there are cross-platform development tools/environments that can use PhoneGap, but also let you do your own native stuff. E.g.,
