Deploying JSR 180 SIP library on any given MIDP/CLDC mobile phone?

    Hello,

I would really appreciate if someone can enlighten me on this simple question in my mind?

If a particular mobile phone does NOT have built in support for JSR 180 ( or any JSR for that matter) except being MIDP/CLDC compliant, can I just drop my own jar and the Nokia's RI implementation of JSR 180 on to the target phone and expect SIP functionality to work?

    Thanks

    Hi symbianyucca:

Is there anyway we can buy the JSR 180 source code from Nokia or it available for free any where?

    Thanks

Slight twist on the discussion mentioned in Yucca's thread. I have worked with JSR 180 SIP API's with devices that does'nt support JSR 180 - For this I had to install an external JAR called JAIMS.JAR, which was supplied by Siemens IMS - SIP SDK, the requirement was the Device should support MIDP 2.0 & CLDC 1.1 and my target device at that time was 6630 (If I remember correctly). Not sure if any one have a copy of JAIM.JAR and that SDK with Documentation, then your job should have been easy.

Thanks Gopal. I couldn't find JAIMS.jar in the www world. Please let me know if you have any information on that.
However I would like to ask your advice on the following, whether I can deploy the whole thing as another package on to my target device.

EDIT: forget this post, first .zip is empty, it only contains a pdf

    Hello,
I found this one, but never used, could it be a viable solution too?
