    Re: opengles functions

    OpenGL is a strange world, and wrapping it with Python brings some additional special things.
    GL_FLOAT is a type specifier, just like 'int', 'float' in C/C++/Java. Just because OpenGL is trying to be independent from the actual language, it calls the type GL_Something. FLOAT is float, a 32-bit, single precision floating point number (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single-...g-point_format)
    OpenGL often needs many numbers at a time (coordinates and the like), so they can be packed into arrays. It is a Python-related thing how arrays are constructed, see http://docs.python.org/2/library/array.html to interpret why it is written as array(GL_FLOAT,...).
    And OpenGL method names tell their expected argument types for historical reasons (because of C origin), so glColor4f expects 4 GL_FLOAT arguments (red, green, blue and transparency components), while glVertexPointer expects an actual array in Python, but it was a pointer to an array in the original C environment.
    Vertex is a point with description. In the simplest case it is described by its 2 or 3 coordinates only, but there can be more. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vertex_(computer_graphics)

    opengles function are found from gles package. glClear is glClear, so
    Code:
    import gles
    gles.glClear
    You should be able to use normal opengles specification as a reference. If something is unclear best documentation is probably pys60 source code.

    So you are actually looking for OpenGL ES tutorial?

    I can't recommend one, but you have to search for one or get a book about opengl.
