Haven't used it, but according to this link it's not supported.

The SDK-s are nice, but checking the device specifications is even more straightforward: Devices above, Device specifications, Nokia Asha 311, the result is https://www.developer.nokia.com/Devi...ions/Asha_311/
Supported APIs are listed in the "APIs" category (JSR 239 is not there).
Other trick: when visiting the device specifications page, there is an ugly blue ("cyan"?) "Expert device search" button on the right, leading to https://www.developer.nokia.com/search/?view=ds
There is also an "APIs" section, where it is possible to search for JSR-s in the "java API - must - be equal to" row. JSR 239 is not listed, so it might not be supported by any devices around. Or the search page is broken (I have not checked which JSR it is).

Thanks a lot . This is kinda disappointed , i just thought that a good spec device like Asha 311 will have JSR-239 ... Hope there it'll be supported in the future 'cuz the spec of Asha 311 is better than some of cheap Android phones that have GLES supported

Yes, for advanced graphics stuff, there seem to be 184 (Mobile 3D) and 226 (2D). The Asha 311 supports both.

I know that JSR184 is more widely supported but i prefer OGL binding like JSR-239 ... maybe Nokia could make an Asha phone that have GPU and support a custom JSR-239 that binds to OGL ES 1.x & 2

Yes, that would be great of course. So far there are no Series 40 devices with GPU, you can configure the expert device search page accordingly: in the General tab, set "hardware graphics processor - must - be defined". WP (Lumia) and Symbian devices will inhabit the result pages.

    Re: JSR-239 on Asha 311

    Hi,

JSR-239 is not supported on Series 40 / Asha. Reason is very simple, there isn't enough hardware power. Please, always remember price point of these devices.

However, M3G (JSR-184) is very, very capable and simple. On Series 40 / Asha with 1GHz CPU you can get 30 or 40 FPS (Asha 311, Asha 302, Asha 303, X3-02). Check out these videos with illustration:

On less expensive Series 40 / Asha performance is around 8 - 15 FPS:
