How to create a input box that is like a google search box?

I am surprised that I cannot find a control in LCDUI that can be like a search box with watermark text and border? Is it doable? If yes, how? No need to be detailed, just some direction.

No watermark in LCDUI. No fancy design. Options are limited. It is what it is.
(my google web page has also no water mark in the input box, not sure what you need)

LCDUI is good to create your UI in a straight-forward way.
You normally add a label to a text field, like "search".
The good thing about lcdui-textfield is that it has "constraints". For example you can set it to number-only, and a number keyboard is displayed.

If the functionality of your app is good, you you got some experience, you can see if it worth to switch to LWUIT, or if you can live with the basic style.
Just make sure that you have different java-class for "model" (the stuff that your app is about) and user interface, to make it easier to switch later.

If no fancy watermark, what about border?

I'm not sure what you mean by watermark when speaking of search box ( i think you mean hint in the text field )
in any case, with lcdui you probably cant do the floating layer of search suggestion but you can listen on the text field data change and update a list that is appended below the textfield.
with lwuit you can do the same or also create a fancy floating layer of the search suggestion (some harder work).
