Re: please help, how to debugging on real device for S40

Given your other posts, it may be worth asking if you are really asking this question in the context of "Nokia Asha Web Apps" (e.g. HTML+JavaScript)?
If it is a Java ME question, the debugger is available from the page where the Series 40 SDK-s are. Direct link: https://www.developer.nokia.com/info..._ODD_Tool.html

I made a midlet and run it in emulator. It is running successfully.
I then installed it on Nokia ASHA 301 successfully through Nokia PC Suite. My app came in my apps folder.

Now i want to perform On Device Debugging . On SDK ..on right click two options are coming : debug as 1. emulated java me midlet 2. run configurations.

I don't know know the steps of debugging . plz help

Merged to a similar thread. Minor remark: the Series 40 platform is not based on Symbian.

    Re: Debug on device S40

These two accounts are very irritating, because I never know if this is a separate question, or the same, or a follow up. Please, could you two guys use one account? And use one of you as the speaker of your team? I think that would make it much easier, at least for me.

First of all, have you tested your code on the emulators? Those are very identical to real devices even in corner cases like your RecordStore problem.

If you really want to go for ODD, I would start with the SDK 2.0 because this is a Eclipse Pulsar IDE as mentioned by the ODD documentation. There is a PDF only about ODD in the C:/Nokia/docs folder. Alternatively, you can download the documentation from here. Which step creates a problem?
