Can i use sqlite by calling servlet from midlet?

I am using Nokia IDE 2.0 for java and i want to call servlet from midlet. My IDE has no tools for making a servlet . Do i have to make servlet on a notepad, giving its directory structure , run it in apache tomcat and then giving the url link in midlet?
or there is any other way?
I am thinking to use sqlite in my servlet this way. Is that possible ?

there is no API support for SQLite in Nokia Asha currently, so you could not use it.

Nokia IDE focuses on the Asha/Series 40 side. For developing a servlet you may rather want to use a separate environment. Notepad and command line build+deployment is not a very user friendly environment, even if they are a bit bloated, you will be more happy with a suitable Eclipse/NetBeans configuration.

For calling server-based functionlity, you can use, e.g., HTTP APIs (communicate using XML or JSON messages, for example). Look up articles and examples in the SDK and also the wiki: http://www.developer.nokia.com/Commu...tegory:Java_ME

E.g., the networking articles should have enough to get you started: http://www.developer.nokia.com/Commu...rking_Articles

For server-side development assistance using Java servlets, start with the appropriate (J2EE) forums on Oracle's site: https://communities.oracle.com/porta...ty/support/219
