How to install .jar on Asha with Nokia Suite

My J2ME project in Nokia IDE for Java ME v1 has exported .jad and .jar files to the deployed folder in the project.
My Nokia Suite 3.8.30 is open and connected via USB to my Nokia 311.
I want to install the app to my phone. How do I do it?

You simply drag the jad (or the jar but preffebly the jad) file to the the little phone icon image on the bottom left of the Nokia suite.

Thanks. I knew there must be some very simple way since it is not documented anywhere ;-)

Or with a default installation, just double click on the JAD.

I just installed my .jar file using nokia suite but I can't find my icon on the phone? Where is the app located so I can test it?

Double-click on either the "*.jar" or "*.jad" file and follow on-screen instructions on PC .But In case if jar or jad files are not associated with Nokia Suite in your PC right click and select "open with" choose Nokia Suite.

@kryptonmobile: when installing an app via Nokia suite, the app will be available in the memory card => My Apps (after you launch it for the first time an icon for that app will also appear in the main menu of the phone).

    Thank you!

BTW, do I have to use Nokia Suite to install an app or can I just copy it over to the memory card via usb?

    a. Your welcome
    b. you dont HAVE to install apps via Nokia suite and you can just transfer them via USB to memory card and run them but Nokia suite option is nice i think and it also let you install apps from the Nokia store as well.
