    Re: PowerMgmt capability

    PowerMgmt is actually is just a second level capabilities so nokia store can sign the app without need to go through symbiansigned.Though nokia store can sign it,app that need this capabilities cannot be self-signed.

    Re: PowerMgmt capability

    So I tried RProcess::Kill and Terminate they both result in KERN::EXEC 46 even though my application has PowerMgmt and it was dev signed through symbiansigned.com.

    Docs says it should work but it does not:

    Anyone had more luck than myself with that?

    Do check that your process really does have the required capability. And if it does, then do check whether it is th line you suspect that gives the error, or something else

    Re: PowerMgmt capability

    (petran is the tool which can list capabilities from the binary itself, visit epoc32\release\gcce\urel - or whatever else - from a command line, and run petran -dump s <your.exe>)

    Re: PowerMgmt capability

    Thanks for helping out.
    So I did a runtime check for PowerMgmt and indeed it is not set.

    All my binaries do have the following set in their MMPs:
    CAPABILITY SwEvent PowerMgmt

    Have not tried petran yet.
    Could it be that SymbianSigned.org is just not giving me PowerMgmt?

    Re: PowerMgmt capability

    Ok looking into petran made me realize something went wrong with my build.

    It could be that SBSv2 not defining __SYMBIAN32__ while pre-processing MMP screwed my build.

    I got RProcess::Kill working.
