    Partially visible application

    Is there a way to tell whether or not my application though not in the foreground anymore is still partially visible?
    That happens in various situations notably when the status pane drop down is not fully open or when you bring up the task switcher.

    Re: Partially visible application

    I found this thread about that topic: http://www.developer.nokia.com/Commu...ead.php?180975
    Also search the docs for the following keywords:
    TWsVisibilityChangedEvent
    RWindowTreeNode::EnableVisibilityChangeEvents
    EEventWindowVisibilityChanged
    CAknAppUi::HandleWsEventL
    TWsEvent::VisibilityChanged

    Re: Partially visible application

    It would have been nice if it actually worked
    Well it works partially. So basically I'm never getting notifications for partial visibility. However "not visible" and "fully visible" do come in. (Tested on E7)
    By combining those with EEventFocusGroupChanged and checking whether you are foreground or not with something like iCoeEnv->WsSession().GetFocusWindowGroup()==iCoeEnv->RootWin().Identifier())
    then you can actually tell whether or not you are partially visible.

    Say if you lose focus and did not receive the 'not visible' notification then you must be partially visible. It's all good fun
