RDA - remote device access, mouse pointer vs real position

    Hi,

when i access RDA when i click something something else gets clicked on the phone. There is delta in both X and Y position. For instance when i click comething in the right bottom corner of the phone, the actual tap on real device occures much much much closer to the middle of the phone. It happens on every Nokia Lumia available.

The actual clicking point on real device is always above and to the left of my mouse cursor.

This is quite insane as you can test anyhing ralated to app bar in Windows Phone applications.

I it just on my machine?
    Can i fix it somehow?

    Hi

I just tried this on Lumia 620 on 2 phones, using IE9. No problems at all. Anyone else seeing this?

    Regards
    H

Re: RDA - remote device access, mouse pointer vs real position

    Hi,

so let me give more info about my environments:
    1. Windows 8, IE20, Java 7
    2. Windows XP, IE8 | Opera 12.10 | Firefox 21.0, Java 6

All of those pass prerequisites test.

I don't think it is a web browser issue. It is an issue occurring in Remote Device Access Tool/Java application.

    How check the issue?
    1. Open any device in RDa
    2. Wait till your device is loaded
    3. Swipe left to see list of all apps installed
    4. Tap any app'a name at the bottom of the phone screen - Different app (higher on the list) shall be tapped and launched.

Please tell me what is your testing environment.

    IE20 eh :-)

I'm on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, IE9 (latest), Java 7 Update 25 (latest). I am over ADSL2+ from Australia.

It is working very well for me today, even following your test instructions (same as yesterday). It is also true that in the past I've seen similar behaviour to what you're describing - usually on "bad Internet days".

I have contacted the RDA team to see if they can reproduce.

    Regards
    Hamish

Haven't I mention that I'm writing this from the future?

It was supposed to be IE10.

I have created the similar environment to yours (Win 7 64 Pro, IE 10, Java 7.25) and the problem is gone.

Hint: The problem must be related to OS.
On: Win 8, IE10, Java 7.25 - does not work correctly
    On: Win 7 64 Pro, IE 10, Java 7.25 - works like a charm

    Thanks for your help.

Re: RDA - remote device access, mouse pointer vs real position

This already happen for weeks or month if not mistaken since last time i use n9 on RDA and when i want to click particular app,it is app above that got clicked.I never report the problem because i rarely use RDA as it is very very LAGGY.Using RDA on window 7 starter and latest IE (lazy to check version number).
