    Hiding files in asha 311 series s40

    i am trying to hide files in the memory card from the app...i have tried using filecon.setHidden(true) it is working fine in sdk emulator but doesnt work in the mobile...its giving "security exception/access denied". if anyone could help me out in this..

    You need the provide the app with permissions to write on the path at which you are trying to write, it may require "app Signing" if you are not able to do it on your app from device settings.

    Or just store the data in RMS, instead. It is as hidden as one can hide stuff with Java.
