    How to use slider component of lwuit

    I want to use slider component which shows me percentage of how much my background task is going on and as soon as that task is over at 100% i want to show the form with output(that it collects from background processes). How to do this?

    I am working on s40 and using lwuit 1.5

    what about following the document http://www.developer.nokia.com/Resou...ts/slider.html and i think they have a very good example in projects section of LWUIT try out that too.

    @gaba88 i used link given by you.but i want to use custom slider which gives the value between 0-5 .my code is given below

    final Slider slider = new Slider();
    		slider.setMinValue(0);
    		slider.setMaxValue(10);
    		//slider.setProgress(100);
    		slider.addDataChangedListener(new DataChangedListener() {
    			
    			public void dataChanged(int arg0, int arg1) {

    				System.out.println("........."+slider.getProgress());
    			}
    		});
    		slider.setEditable(true);
    		slider.setRenderValueOnTop(true);
    But i want slider like that

    If it is very different from what is available, you may want to just create a new custom control. A search for java me custom slider brings some ideas, like http://developer.nokia.com/community...-gauge-in-J2ME or http://java-work.blogspot.no/2010/10...tem-using.html

    How about you start by fixing your code since you want the values to be between 0-5 and your code states
    slider.setMinValue(0);
    slider.setMaxValue(10);
    which I'll let you guess what those 2 lines do...
