    Problem using Map API

    Hi every Body
    I developed an application for Symbian (Qt/QML) using the Map API ( TaxiCounter ) it was working fin till a few days ago I can't get the rout between 2 points chosen on the map, and I don’t know how to resolve it. Do I have to change something in the code?

    PS: all other features works great showing the map, getting the address form geocoordinate
    Thanks in advance

    You would need to debug and see what did stop working, and then see what you could for it. In the end its your custom implementation, so we can not really know what & how have you done stuff inside there

    Re: Problem using Map API

    thanks symbianyucca for your answer
    That’s my code

    Code:
    void MainWindow::startRouteToCBD()
    {
        QList<QGeoCoordinate> waypoints;
        waypoints.append( m_PositionInfo.coordinate() );
        waypoints.append( QGeoCoordinate(39.90914369936543, 116.46184444514802) );
        QGeoRouteRequest req(waypoints);
        QGeoRouteReply *reply = m_RoutingManager->calculateRoute(req);
        QObject::connect(reply, SIGNAL(finished()), this,SLOT(routeFinished()));
        QObject::connect(reply,SIGNAL(error(QGeoRouteReply::Error, QString)), this,SLOT(routeResultsError(QGeoRouteReply::Error, QString)));
    }
    and

    Code:
    void MainWindow::routeFinished()
    {
        QGeoRouteReply *reply = static_cast<QGeoRouteReply*>(sender());    if ( reply == NULL )
        {
            return;
        }
        if ( reply->routes().size() < 1 )
        {
            m_MsgBox->setText( tr("no route") );
            return;
        }
        QGeoMapRouteObject *route = new QGeoMapRouteObject(reply->routes().at(0));
        QColor routeColor(Qt::blue);
        routeColor.setAlpha(127); //semi-transparent
        QPen pen(routeColor);
        pen.setWidth(7);
        pen.setCapStyle(Qt::RoundCap);
        route->setPen(pen);
        m_mapWidget->addMapObject(route);
        disconnect(reply, SIGNAL(finished()), this,SLOT(routeFinished()));
        disconnect(reply,SIGNAL(error(QGeoRouteReply::Error, QString)), this,SLOT(resultsError(QGeoRouteReply::Error, QString)));
        reply->deleteLater();
    It was working for more than one year I already have my application published on nokia store

    Re: Problem using Map API

    basically you should run the code, and see what parts of it are getting executed and which parts are not, and then see whether there are any errors reported or data missing etc.

    Basically then you would need to report this as a bug.
